This person is advertising a service that he can not legally provide. He should not be permitted to be in contact with tourists for their safety and the reputation of the City of Rio. His driving record is shocking, he has 41 infractions, the most recent ones including driving under the influence of alcohol and THREE TIMES going through red signals. His driver’s license was blocked by DETRAN on September 4 and he continues driving and ignoring the penalties. He is very dishonest, unprofessional, irresponsible, unreliable, has bad judgement, makes bad decisions, he is rude, inexperienced, has bad manners especially towards women; he is a scammer/con artist, he associates with people of bad character who encourage him to feel it is OK to deceive people to take their money, he is a fugitive from the law for refusing to pay child support, and he is known to abuse alcohol and illegal drugs including cocaine and marijuana on a regular basis. He has been reported to TURISRIO.
42 infractions! And 2 suspensions, and continues driving. He accumulated 43 additional points on his drivers license between July and December. And involved with illegal drugs. He will be in prison very soon.
This person Cristine Cox was my girl friend in US, and for reason that I won’t mention, she decided to hurt me saying this bunch of non sense. Feel free to check my license, and my reputation on tourism business.
There is no evidence at all that Nevton has EVER – not even once! – worked as a tour guide. I am in the unique position of knowing Nevton since 2006 in the US AND in Brazil and being the person who knows more about him than anyone else. I was his best friend, who defended and supported him and loved him, and I would still be, but he blocked me in 2017 for no reason, without thinking about the fact that I have all his personal information and know everything about him. I supported him financially in Brazil from November 2012 until April 2015 and spent a number of months with him in Brazil during that time. He asked me to marry him on May 9 2013 and in 2014 he told me he wanted to be a tour guide and we started planning on doing a tourism business together. He took a class that went from July 28 until December 11 when the company that gave the class closed but he still received a certificate for completing it. On February 24 2015 he registered with CADASTUR which was valid until February 23 2020. NOTICE THE DATE OF HIS COMMENT IS February 18 2021 – almost a whole year after the CADASTUR was expired!!!!
By the end of April 2015 I realized he wasn’t really interested in being a tour guide he was just telling me that to take my money so he did not have to work. (In all the time that I have known him he’s only had 3 short jobs, the first 2 he was fired, the third wasn’t even a real job and he said the business closed). So I ended it, and changed the name of his Facebook page from Nevton Tours to Rio Tours, which is a business I still operate to this day.
Except for occasional Facebook posts he has never shown any real interest in the tourism industry. In July 2017 he visited Corcovado one day and Pão de Açucar the next telling me he was “looking for customers”. He also asked me to “send him some customers”. That was the end of his “tour guide” career. He does not have any idea what tour guides do to acquire customers. Now that I work with tour guides I understand the professionalism, dedication, focus and hard work involved. This is not something he would EVER be capable of. He has the maturity level of about age 12 years.
On January 25th of this year (2021) he made 2 posts with photos of sites in Rio saying to contact him “if you need a guide accredited by RioTur”. He does not even know that RioTur is the visitors information center for the City of Rio and it is the Ministry of Tourism that grants the CADASTUR badge!!! I reported this and he was confronted about it by the Tourism Operations Coordinator of the city of Rio.
He has 59 driving infractions with 2 cars; the first car he stole from the bank twice – TWICE!!! – and the second his father bought for him after I refused to give him the money. I spent many thousands of dollars helping him keep the first car. I thought the bank took the car back after it was impounded by DETRAN in 2014. Later, I realized he used money he stole from me to bribe someone in DETRAN to give him the car back, when I discovered that he had 27 infractions in less than 5 months in 2016. He’s never paid any fines, and his payment of DETRAN fees is limited to those paid on the second car that his father bought for him in 2017 – DPVAT for 2017 paid by his father in Goias; and DPVAT for 2018-2019 and GRT tax of R$ 202,55 for 2019 paid in 2019. He paid these fees in 2019 ONLY because DETRAN offered a promotion for renewing the registration without paying any fines or IPVA.
I’ve contacted Andrea Leite to find out why he would be using her address on this site but she did not respond. Also he’s changed his phone number twice since 2015.
He is a pathological liar and a thief who uses women to gain their financial support to avoid working. His criminal acts will catch up with him very soon.
